I bought this phone in November 2010. Yesterday it was hung up on WLAN mode. I can not switch it back to GSM and am now unable to make any calls. i've received this phone today, here's my review:
Overall this phone is good, display is bright, colorful and reacts good on touching, classic functions, good speaker ...
But!!! only just about 1 from 20 java apps I did run and touch screen apps dont recognize touches; when the sounds are not mute, you can't set alarm - phone freezes; settings of this phone is quite messyů i've set my phone to czech language, half is translated, half not (there's not to many texts to translate, so I don"t understand, why it's not complete ;); when you are starting some java app and appears dialog whit selection you want virtual keyboard or not, Yes and No buttons doesn't work, so u can't turn on virtual keyboard; u can hold erase button in sms writing, u have to delete text letter by letter; and other small annoying things which degrades this good phone rapidly.
Do you have some newer version of firmware which repairs some of these bugs?

I have this phone and find it to be a great choice for the price. Here are a few things I've found:
1. You can use your finger, but a stylus works much better. For making phone calls in particular, the number pad is very responsive to finger touch.
2. My PC identifies the chipset as an MTK 6235, not 6253.
3. Unless you have an unlimited data plan, use Opera Mini to save data charges.
4. The manual is useless, so do a search for sciphone or airphone settings to learn all you can do with this phone.
5. Wifi reception is fairly poor, but it does work. Internet access is slow no matter how you're connected.
6. Get a Nokia BL-5C battery for greater battery life.
7. Unfortunately, you can't delete or change the functions of icons.
